When I say that I am devastated this platform didn't exist when I first starting writing... it's not an exaggeration. This is really a one stop shop for writers. The reedsystudio can help you to write your books, track you writing, organize it into chapters. You can also save and be working on multiple books at once. It is like a budget friendly version of Scrivener. The platform can also help you find people to review your book, to edit it, to help with cover design. They also offer so many courses.

2) Storyplotter.net

If you are the type of person who loves to plan and storymap before you write, this is a great tool. It allows you to create notes, folders, settings. I have spent many hours writing out character descriptions, locations, plot details.

Amazing for promotional material. If you aren't a designer they offer you lots of free templtes to get you started with creating cohesive and aesthetic content you can share on your socials, blog or website. I love using canva to share my shorter poems in an aesthetic way.

Now here is where some people can get weary because technically...this is a platform that uses AI. HOWEVER, it does not use the big bad generative AI. The way ProWritingAid functions is similar to the way Microsoft word uses spellcheck and grammar check. It's not stealing your writing and feeding it to a data base for regurgitation, it's reviewing your writing and highlighting the errors, or potential for improvement. I don't even know about all the paid features because I only ever used the free function to check for errors. What I like about the platform is it was created by writers and has a promise on their home page about protecting your work.

If you are in the brainstorming or writing stages, honestly google docs is a convieniant tool for cloud access. It's free, it's easy to use and it's accessible across platforms and devices, it also has the potential for easy sharing with your betas, editors etc.
